Award-winning Centor opens in Florida

Centor, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of systems for folding doors and retractable insect screens and blinds opens in Florida

St Petersburg, FL, 25 January 2011 – Homeowners will now be able to enjoy the Florida climate even more now that Centor is offering its award-winning folding door and screen systems from its new branch in St Petersburg.

Centor Florida manager Paul Cornish said their systems were perfect for opening up homes to the balmy evening air everybody moves to Florida to enjoy. “Florida’s climate is why I moved here, and Centor’s folding doors and screens are the perfect way to bring the outside in to your home,” he said.

Folding doors open up entire walls to vistas, bringing in natural light and fresh air. Centor systems allow openings up to an incredible 57 ft wide and 13 ft tall. Smart design means the doors can be opened and closed with just the touch of a fingertip.

Mr Cornish said the largest folding door set could weigh over 2,000 lbs., but was still a breeze to open and shut. “2000 lbs. of doors moved by Centor components will just glide,” he said.

Folding doors are now also suitable for small-scale remodeling and retrofitting, said Mr Cornish. “Our latest folding system offers the same functionality as our other systems, without the need for major structural adjustments.”

Centor also offers screening systems that unobtrusively provide insect protection for openings up to 10 ft. high and 24 ft. wide, and are the perfect accompaniment to folding doors. “The insect screen can be teamed with a blind in the same unit. The blind offers privacy, UV protection, and can even be used as a projection screen. When not in use, the blind or screen completely retracts into the doorjamb and you don’t even notice it’s there. It is also so simple to operate, even small children can use it easily.”
